As a Christian Visual Artist my appreciation for the creative arts goes beyond the “art” in it self, but is more a reflection of who we are in God’s eyes, created in His creative image. Therefore as all good things come from him, I believe in developing this gifts, and in honoring Him with them. I have been drawing since a little kid and have experience in prop building and painting, different media painting, and Interior Design. It is my goal that you will discover and develop your creative gifts with our Beginner and Intermediate classes.

I learned to play the guitar many years ago so I could accompany myself singing hymns and never dreamed that one day I would become a music teacher.  But I did, and recently retired from teaching music in Houston ISD.  After learning the guitar, I discovered that I had an aptitude for music which helped me learn to play other instruments.  Music helps me say things, especially worship music, that words alone cannot say as well.  I believe most anyone can learn to play an instrument and have fun doing it—the reason I love to teach—and I especially love teaching beginners, whether children or adults.
